In driving success to provide Mabinogi players to be creative in fashion, Mabinogi will now be updated to include the newest addition to the menu: The Dressroom Patch!
The Dressroom Patch can be accessed from the UI Menu with the same area as the beauty shop, as of now, the beauty shop will be removed and replaced by the Dressroom Collection:
When accessed, you will pull up a window in which you can see your collection of clothes:
As you can see, each clothing can be "collected" and stored within the collection list. That means that you now have your own walking ward-robe collection!
To upload a clothing/armor/item first, select the proper slot, it will look like this:
Click on the arrow to upload the item into its proper slot.
When it uploads, ta-da, your item will be removed from your inventory and stored in the fashion slot as seen below:
If you need to recall the item back in your inventory, simply click on the arrow to re-obtain your item! Here is an example of ca25nada storing her clothing in the Dressroom collection:
However the following item categories can only be stored as seen below:
That means items such as shields and weapons cannot be stored at all.
Also, what comes with collecting clothes comes the all new fashion preview system! The fashion preview system will now allow you to not only preview your collection equipment, but you can now preview it with different hairstyles, eyes, etc. features!
While originally this used to be exclusive to online character simulators, it will now be an in-game feature in which you can mix and match any collected items and body features in order to create your dream design!
Any preview changes made will be applied immediately to your character, however only you can see the change, and no one else. Once the preview is closed, your character will be reverted back to their normal state. Note: You can use action commands or skills while having these preview changes to see how it would be like if you were to retain it.
What if you want to dye an item in your collection but do not wish to re-collect it? The new Dressroom Collection will now allow you to use a dye below:
It will allow you to color any collected item with the dye without it leaving your inventory. Easy-simple-and beautiful!
Now, security is always a concern at Nexon! Introducing the new locking system that comes with the Dressroom Collection! When you put an item in the collection, you will now have a choice to "seal" the item within the collection (unable to withdraw it) for 30 days! To do so, simply click the lock box as seen below:
When you click it, you will be asked one more time if you wish to verify it through a window:
Once verified and accepted, the item in your collection will now be sealed with a lock, as seen below:
However be warned that once an item is locked in the collection, it cannot be removed until time is expired! So be sure you reaallllly want to lock an item!
Now, further on, let's discuss the new Rarity System in Mabinogi! As you know, Mabinogi is constantly changing and there is need to differentiate between a rare item and a common item. The rarity system will be implemented within this patch. What the rarity system does is that it ranks items, from 1 star (lowest) to 5 stars (rarest) as seen below:
What determines this number is based on how much people have collected the item. To simplify, the more of the same items collected in different people's collection journal, the more "common" it is, likewise, items that are rarely collected or not have been collected by many journals will have a higher rarity effect!
However, be warn that this only applies to pieces of clothing, Enchants, Upgrades, or any other modification to the clothing/item will not affect its rarity level, only the item itself and how much other people have collected it through the journal!
In addition to, there are special quest associated with the Dressroom Collection, however it's still being translated. Will be update as time goes:
[11:06:33 PM] ca25nada: 'The Collecting Legend'?
[11:06:40 PM] ca25nada: at least based on the fishing legend title
We will be releasing more information about the quest as it is being translated. Thank you for your patience.
MISC Information
- This system is available to all players, regardless of what service they are using. Requires no NX to store and preview.
- While it is free to preview new hairstyles, eyes, and color, if you want to keep the changes, you must pay in PONS.
- When putting items in the collection and back, you will need to pay a bank transfer fee. This is dependent on the NPC value of the item.
- You may not be able to use items not fit for your gender/race.
- You can only store ONE type of each clothing. For example, you can only store 1x Classical Couple Set (F), you cannot have two.
- Enchants and reforges will still be maintained on the items when stored, however they have no bearing on the rarity system.
- Certain clothings or items cannot be collected due to their unique status, such as the Arad Magician Set or Bunny Hairband that isn't durability 5 (and is not repairable).
- There have been concerns on how one will obtain a fashion key to renew their fashion slot since the beauty shop is gone, however once your fashion tab expires, simply click on the tab and it will ask you if you want to spend pons to renew it:
- You are not supposed to be able to use any skills, actions, or items, but strangely certain skills such as fishing will allow you to preview while fishing... Example: Previewing Fashion while fishing:
- All characters on the account share the same Dressroom Collection, so personalized items may not be accepted.
- Strangely enough, incomplete items (such as tailoring) can be put into the collection.
