It uses Str and Dex, but I haven't been able to test yet because testing server is having problems.pooturtle wrote:Which stats does this skill use?

I was able to test more today about it:Soluna wrote: It uses Str and Dex, but I haven't been able to test yet because testing server is having problems.
Basically, the Golem-like and the Doll-like are completely the same but affected by the respective "mastery" I guess you could call it.
The equipment wise you equip the Handle on Left and Miniature Doll on the Right:
There are various Miniature Dolls and the Advanced/Masterpiece version require rank A+ and rank 5+ respective "mastery" to have effect.
The effect is basically appearance:
And with the special dye (hohoho I hear NX jingling) you can dye the puppets to the color you like:
The other important aspect is that... no they are not like golems at all... because golems are dispensable... puppets are not. When golem dies, you simple summon another. When puppets dies, you have to "revive" them by repairing with repair kit:
Last but not the least... how does the puppet damage calculate?
Puppet's damage is from Marionette Control Bonus, Respective Puppet Mastery Rank.
Marionette bonus give fix amount damage bonus and 50% of the Puppet Master's damage, crit, and balance bonus to the puppet (and yes damage and balance is based on Str and Dex).
Pierrot/Colossus Marionette Mastery skill increase the base stats of the respective puppet version.
At the very least that's what I have calculated.
Example:
Rank C Marionette Control: Damage +11~22, Critical + 8%, Balance +4, +50% Master's Damage, Critical, Balance
Rank 9 Pierrot Marionette Mastery: Intermediate Appearance, Puppet 40~50 damage, 23% Critical, 32 Balance, 440 HP, 13 Def, 7 Pro, 7 Mag Def
Puppet Master with 31 Max damage stat
Puppet damage = 22 + 50 + 31/2 = 87.5 = 87 after rounding.
As for can they hold their own and how are they v.s. golems?
They are... very similar... but no they are not the same. Summon Golem is always single point instance, which means when you control the golem, you switch to the golem and you can probably be hiding off behind barrier being safe, but with puppets your control transfers to the puppet and essentially your character is being dragged behind it so it is like 2 points instance. However, because of that the Puppet Master have more Area and Crowd control skills. Jealousy Incarnate is like another windmill that use puppet to hit enemy around the Puppet Master, Temptation Trap is a windmill around the puppet that force the enemies to be pulled to the puppet instead being pushed away, and Frantic Overrun is like spinning top that hit anything in its path. They can hold their own, but it will take sometime to get use to the control.
Re: [Testing G17S2] Puppet Master
damage based on str again ~"~...
and here i thought a "puppet master" would need to be dexterous =3=...
its pretty much like a sword and the masterys are like sword mastery and combat mastery?
im bad at this so im probably reading it wrong
also curses now i remember this song

Re: [Testing G17S2] Puppet Master
Is more like Summon Golem + User Stats + Mastery, IF you want to put it that way.Armelle wrote: its pretty much like a sword and the masterys are like sword mastery and combat mastery?
At rank 1 the Pierrot/Colossus Marionette have base damage 80~190, 60% Crit, 50 Balance, 700 HP, 25 Def, 15 Pro, 15 Mag Def.
At rank 1 Marionette Control it is 30~55 damage increase, 20% Crit, 15 Balance, 50% Puppet Master damage, critical, balance.
So at the minimum it should be 245 dmg, 80% Crit, 65 Balance + 50% Puppet Master damage, critical, balance
Re: [Testing G17S2] Puppet Master
Sounds like you can achieve quite the high potential max damage with these puppet skills, not only that with all the AOE depending on the damage percentages of those three skills you talked about this can be quite the powerhouse it seems.
